Помеха, возникающая от частот других каналов, отстоящих от рабочего канала на шаг сетки частот (например 25 или 12,5 кГц), приводящая к искажению полезного сигнала. В английском языке этот термин обычно имеет уточнения: next-channel interference (помеха от последующего) и neighboring-channel interference (помеха от соседнего), которые конкретизируют источник помех.
